What is Wine Fraud (other)?
Our objective is to make the wine industry an even better place to do business, whether as a buyer or a seller. As is the case with perhaps every collectibles marketplace, there are those that take advantage. Hopefully we can do something about that.
In this Forum we will discuss news reports on fraud other than counterfeiting. We will also discuss personal experiences that fall into this category. For example, purposeful misrepresentations made by a wine reseller would qualify as fraud in many situations. How would you feel if you purchased a case of "impeccably cared for" 1982 Latour only to find out that it had been stored in the attic of a wine shop at an average daytime temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit for the past 20 years? Hopefully you like Madeira.
Let's see your comments and your complaints; and yes, your recommendations for changes to the industry.
